Geodemographic Composition of London
To gain a better understanding of people living in London, ACORN classifications have provided more detailed insight.- Research shows that the London region has a significantly higher proportion of the households in the ‘Urban Prosperity’ category - these prosperous individuals make up over half of the Evening Standard's readership.
- The Urban Prosperity category includes; Prosperous Professionals; Educated Urbanites; Aspiring Singles, and they count for 31% of people in London and 11% of the population nationally.
- They include both older wealthy people living in the most exclusive parts of London and other cities, and highly educated younger professionals moving up the corporate ladder.
